”Què pasaria si el mundo…”

I’ve written a lot about “What If?” projects I have both my ELL history and IB Theory of Knowledge students do (see The Best Resources For Teaching “What If?” History Lessons).

The Economist does a similar, but different, annual feature called “The World If.” In their series of articles, they try to project potential future scenarios — for example, if Donald Trump was president.

You can see their articles for this year and from 2015 here.

Doing something like could be a useful exercise in critical thinking, though I don’t think it teaches the same aspects of “thinking like a historian” that looking to the past might…
